Presenter Opportunity
Cheeky Radio is always looking for new Presenters that fit the criteria.
Cheeky Radio is a non-profit making hobby radio station. It provides a platform for volunteers to do what they love doing, play music for listeners entertainment. As with 99% of Internet based stations, nobody is paid and lots of people give up their time to help run the station.
The station operates a robust equality and diversity policy that provides equal opportunity to everyone, no matter his or her background or characteristics. We also offer a flexible approach to our disabled Presenters who are not always able to fulfil their commitment.
The station welcomes demos without bias and as always will process those applications based on technical ability and musical knowledge, not their background or characteristics.
Music policy: We play a diverse spectrum of music but avoid anything considered as an anthem. This would be anything that could be played at a family wedding or found on a soul weekender cd.
Studio: Presenters would ideally need a home set up studio of broadcast quality. We can offer advice and help source equipment. This does not need to be mega expensive and can often be achieved for a reasonable budget. In some circumstances Presenters may be able to use the main studio in Essex.
Presenter Skills: If you have never presented a radio show before but would like to learn, we offer in studio training. This is a great opportunity for you to learn in a fully functioning radio studio. Visit www.radio-studio.co.uk to book a have-a-go session at the Essex studio. For those with previous experience, feel free to submit your demo. ([email protected])
Mix Sessions: Cheeky Radio also has a few weekly spots for those who just like to mix. Music criteria still applies and preference is given to those who show creativity, not just a string of tracks. If this is something you would like to do, just send in a demo. ([email protected])
